GO AHEAD AND JUST KEEP ON GOING. This man must be the hardest working man not only in showbiz but the whole world. And Every year he just releases a ton of incredible music. The latest, “I told Them…” the new powerful album. Burna Boy, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, straight out of Nigeria, has had the power of afro-beats, dancehall, afro-fusion, and reggae in his blood since he was born. Now after multiple tours worldwide, the “African Giant” has released one of the most powerful records of his career.
Now, to start, I have been a fan since the Wiz-Kid “Ginger” Burna feature and the 2018 “Outside Album”. I feel like he has been popping out a 13-16 song album every single year. And his timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
The album totes 15 songs and features from J. Cole, Dave, SZA, RZA, GZA, 21 Savage, and Seyi Vibez. It is a roller coaster of dancehall, and afrobeats, with some great rap and RnB influence. The friday after it dropped, Burna Boy became the first ever international Afro-Beats artist to sit at #1 on the U.K. charts.
I highly recommend listening to this killer album with a party and enough space to dance cause it is simply impossible not to want to move.
